Thematic Overview

In summer 1996, the University of St. Gallen and the Institute of Public Finance and Fiscal Law hosted the first IPMN Conference. The topic of this Conference was The New Public Management in International Perspective.The conference was generously co-financed by the University of St. Gallen, the Institute of Public Finance and Fiscal Law, the Union Bank of Switzerland, and the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey CA. At this event, the International Public Management Network was founded, following the initial ideas of professors Lawrence R. Jones, Riccardo Mussari, James L.
